Riyadh is gearing up to become the global hub for showcasing new and advanced military weapons and equipment from February 4th to 8th, as the capital of Saudi Arabia hosts the World Defense Show (WDS-2024) for the second time. The event, taking place at a new exhibition center near a military airbase, will feature an extensive aviation program, demonstrations of dynamic capabilities of ground vehicles, and live firing, with the exhibition space exceeding 80,000 square meters.
Over 20 Russian defense companies, including major ones like Almaz-Antey and Rostec, will present their products, which include modern models of weapons and military equipment. The display will feature the T-90MS tank and BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, as well as the 3SA tactical ambulance and Sparta and Typhoon-K armored vehicles. Additionally, the ZA-SBPN Titan special-purpose armored vehicle, known for its high protection against ballistic missiles and mines and promising prospects in the Middle East market, will be shown.
Rosoboronexport will also showcase modern equipment and weapons for special operations forces, including the Chukavin sniper rifle, high-precision rifles, the “200 series” Kalashnikov assault rifles, the Lebedev 9mm compact pistol, and the Kalashnikov PPK-20 9mm submachine gun, along with the Orlan-10E and Orlan-30 drones.
