Journalist Hanefi Ould Dahah, publisher of the “Taqadoumy” website and TTV channel, was physically assaulted on Monday evening near the headquarters of his channel in Nouakchott. The attack was carried out by businessman Zein El Abidine Ould Sdafah, who ambushed him from behind, causing bruises and injuries to his face and mouth.
Despite rumors of severe injuries, close sources confirmed that the injuries are superficial and that Hanefi did not lose any teeth. He is currently receiving treatment at the emergency department of the National Hospital, while the motives behind the attack remain unclear amid unverified speculations.
Meanwhile, journalist Ahmed Sheikh, who was present at the scene, shared a photo showing Hanefi injured and covered in blood, confirming that the assailant was indeed Ould Sdafah.
