Inaugural Meeting of the Supreme Council for Industry

Today, Thursday, under the chairmanship of the Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Mohamed Ould Bilal Massoud at the Prime Ministry’s building, the first meeting of the Supreme Council for Industry was held. The meeting provided an opportunity to review the foundational elements of the National Manufacturing Strategy’s operational action plan for the horizon 2030. This strategy aims to establish a diverse, competitive, sustainable, and integrated national industry, in accordance with the high directives of His Excellency President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani. These directives consider the establishment of policies that respect environmental balance, stimulate growth, are capable of reducing disparities, and create the maximum number of job opportunities. Following extensive discussions, the Council approved the presented documents. In conclusion, the Prime Minister urged the involved sectors to enhance coordination and called on the national private sector to play a pivotal role in creating strong and sustainable national industries.
