"Make America Great Again": Bomb Threats and Burglaries Target Democrats

According to *The Washington Post*, Democratic lawmakers, their families, and law enforcement members have been targeted by bomb threats and burglaries carrying the slogan "Make America Great Again." These threats came shortly after reports that nominees selected by President-elect Donald Trump for cabinet positions had also been targeted.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries condemned these actions as immoral and unacceptable, calling for maximum prosecution of the perpetrators. Lawmakers targeted include Rosa DeLauro, Jahana Hayes, and Jim Himes from Connecticut, as well as Seth Magaziner, who reported threats against his home.

President Biden stated that the FBI is taking these threats seriously, emphasizing that they are directed at both sides. These incidents highlight a troubling rise in political violence against government officials in recent years.
