The campaign of Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who lost the presidential election, called for donations to "bring Donald Trump to justice" following his victory. The campaign stated that additional resources are needed to continue these efforts, with a minimum donation set at $50.
Harris previously raised $2.3 billion for her campaign but faced significant financial challenges due to spending on advertisements and celebrity performances. After her defeat, Harris spent a week in Hawaii with her family, amid reports of potential layoffs for many of her campaign staff.
Meanwhile, Trump’s team announced that the Department of Justice had dropped all federal charges against him, calling it a major victory for the rule of law. However, other criminal cases remain pending against Trump, who has become the first U.S. president to return to the White House after a four-year gap, and the first election winner to face criminal charges.
