Spanish Prime Minister Renews Call for Recognition of the State of Palestine

The "Wafa" agency reported that Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez reiterated his call during the "Socialist International" conference in Rabat for global recognition of Palestine as an independent state within the two-state solution framework and full membership in the United Nations. He emphasized the need to end the Israeli occupation and the suffering of the Palestinian people, highlighting the importance of achieving a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East. Spain, alongside Ireland and Norway, officially recognized the State of Palestine in May, a move that angered Tel Aviv. Currently, 144 countries recognize Palestine as an independent state.
