Reuters reported that senior Lebanese sources revealed that U.S. President Joe Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron are expected to announce a ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel.
According to *Asharq Al-Awsat*, the truce is expected to last 60 days, though officials in Washington and Paris have so far declined to comment on the matter. A U.S. official told *Axios* that both sides have agreed on the terms of the ceasefire, although no official announcement has been made yet.
In Lebanon, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Elias Bou Saab expressed optimism about the agreement, stating in a local idiom that "the balance is tipping" in favor of a truce. Meanwhile, sources reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given initial approval to the initiative.
