Pursuant to Order No. 2024/66, issued on December 31, 2024, by the President of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Nouakchott West, the medical team listed below was tasked with diagnosing the health condition of Mr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz.
Medical History:
- Hypothyroidism stabilized under treatment.
- Abdominal surgeries following a gunshot wound in 2012.
- Osteoarthritis in both knees.
- Chronic hypertension managed with medication since December 2021.
- Acute heart attack treated with catheterization in January 2022.
Examination:
A visit was conducted on January 4, 2025, at 7:30 PM to the residence of the individual.
Observations:
- The individual refused to undergo any clinical examination or medical tests.
- However, he appeared to be in good apparent health, demonstrating adequate mental and physical presence, and walked without limping or assistance.
- He complained of knee pain, anxiety, and insomnia but showed no obvious signs of physical weakness or respiratory distress.

- The medical team was unable to provide an accurate diagnosis due to the individual’s refusal to undergo the necessary examinations.
- Based on the available information and visual assessment, the team sees no medical impediment to his continued participation in court sessions.
