A poll conducted by “Maariv” reveals that most Israelis believe the war waged by Israel against the Gaza Strip following the October 7 attacks has not achieved its objectives.
The survey covered several topics, including the completion of the hostage exchange deal. Responses were evenly split, with 36% believing the deal would be fully completed and 36% thinking otherwise, while 28% stated they were unsure.
Regarding the question of whether the war could be considered over following the return of Gaza residents to the northern part of the territory, 31% responded affirmatively, while 57% believed the conflict was still ongoing, and 12% were uncertain.
When asked about what the return of Gazans to the north indicates regarding Israel’s achievement of its war objectives, 4% said the goals had been met, 57% believed they were only partially achieved, 32% thought they had not been achieved at all, and 7% said they did not know.
