Prime Minister Mokhtar Ould Ajay oversaw the launch of ministerial missions tasked with identifying development priorities in the interior regions, in line with directives from President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. These missions aim to organize regional forums for participatory planning, focusing on gathering and prioritizing citizens’ needs. This initiative reflects the President’s commitment to improving essential services such as water, electricity, and roads, while leveraging economic opportunities in agriculture, livestock, and fisheries.
The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of these visits in strengthening national unity and addressing key issues such as land disputes and scattered settlements. The missions will return with detailed reports outlining the priorities of each municipality, enabling the government to develop actionable plans for the next three years. This participatory approach is also intended to foster dialogue with citizens and ensure inclusive involvement in shaping public policies.
