During a public session of the National Assembly, presided over by Mr. Mohamed Bemba Makt, the President of the Assembly, His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Mokhtar Ould Ajay, presented the government’s achievements for 2024 and outlined the main points of the action plan for 2025.
The Prime Minister highlighted that the accomplishments of the past year and the government’s vision for the current year reflect the vision of His Excellency the President of the Republic, Mr. Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani. This vision was initially based on his electoral program “My Commitments” and has now evolved into his new program, “Ambition for the Nation.”
During the session, attended by members of the government, the Prime Minister detailed that the government’s 2025 action plan focuses on five key pillars:
- Building a state of law and strengthening institutions with modern and efficient governance.
- Developing a high-performing, resilient, and environmentally sustainable economy.
- Investing in human capital through quality training and education, with a special emphasis on youth.
- Promoting strong national unity and comprehensive social integration.
- Ensuring the country’s security and stability while enhancing its presence and role at regional and international levels.
The Prime Minister affirmed that these pillars form the foundation of the government’s efforts to achieve national development objectives and improve the living conditions of citizens.
