British Ship Attacked Near Aden Amid Rising Tensions in Yemeni Waters

The British Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that a British naval vessel was attacked off the coast of Aden, Yemen. The incident occurred 80 nautical miles south of Aden and has been classified as an "attack." Authorities are investigating, and the UKMTO has advised ships in the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity.

This attack is part of a series of incidents in the region, with the "Ansar Allah" (Houthis) group claiming responsibility for targeting vessels linked to Israel, the US, and the UK in November. The Houthis stated that the number of targeted ships has reached 202. Additionally, the UKMTO recently reported an incident involving a yacht being chased by several small boats in the Gulf of Aden, highlighting the increasing tensions in these critical maritime routes.
