A fire broke out in the engine of a Russian *Azimuth* airline *Sukhoi Superjet 100-95* during its landing at Antalya Airport due to a hard impact caused by strong winds and a sudden change in trajectory.
Emergency services quickly extinguished the fire, and all operations at the airport were suspended until 3:00 AM local time. All 89 passengers and 6 crew members were safely evacuated without any reported injuries.
Russian diplomatic authorities in Turkey announced close coordination with Turkish authorities to assist Russian citizens on board the plane. The airline *Azimuth* confirmed that the severe winds were the primary cause of the rough landing.
