Saudi Arabia Affirms Its Steadfast Position on the Palestinian Issue

The Saudi Foreign Ministry has reaffirmed the Kingdom’s steadfast position on the Palestinian issue, referencing discussions between the Kingdom and the United States regarding the Arab-Israeli peace process. Saudi Arabia emphasizes the necessity for Israel to recognize an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, and to cease its aggression on Gaza and withdraw its occupying forces as a condition for any diplomatic relations. Furthermore, the Kingdom calls on the permanent member states of the United Nations Security Council to recognize the Palestinian state to ensure the Palestinian people gain their legitimate rights and achieve comprehensive and just peace.
