This measure was taken in response to requests from local notables and actors, and after receiving guarantees from the representatives and guardians of the released individuals. The ministry confirmed that the majority of the detainees were young people manipulated by entities with specific agendas. The ministry also reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining security and ensuring rights and freedoms within the framework of the rule of law and institutions.

On the other hand, presidential candidate Biram Dah Abeid described the ministry's statement as false and demanded the prosecution of those the ministry described as having specific agendas. He denied any manipulation of the young participants in the protests, insisting on the necessity of prosecuting and imprisoning those proven guilty of serving specific agendas or manipulating the youth to incite chaos. He accused the Ministry of Interior of fostering and fabricating disorder, asserting that there can be no calm while youths are dying and thousands of people are imprisoned. Biram also emphasized that the detainees will sue the ministry in court.
