Statement from the executive office of the Rally of Democratic Forces:

The executive office of the Rally of Democratic Forces met on May 30th and 31st to discuss the ongoing preparations for the Fidelity and Resistance Festival 2, scheduled to be held next Monday evening at the old youth house, dedicated to announcing support for the candidacy of El Aid Mohameden Embarek, as well as to review decision number 09/2024 attributed to President Ahmed Ould Daddah, issued against certain party leaders, and his personal decision regarding the presidential elections, and their potential conflict with the party's line and statutes.

After a thorough discussion of the agenda, the executive office:

- confirms that the party is an institution whose statutes and internal regulations define the disciplinary procedure and the competent body, and that the decision to expel certain party leaders attributed to the president, which did not respect the party's texts and the required procedures, is null and void;

- requests Mr. Imam Ahmed Mohamedou to present a financial report on the period during which he was the permanent secretary, as well as on his suspicious management of the resources from the recent municipal, legislative, and regional election campaigns;

- calls on all party activists and supporters to continue their efforts to realize the decision to support the candidacy of Professor El Aid Mohameden Embarek, to work earnestly on preparing for the festival, and invites all residents of the capital and all national vital forces to mobilize and attend it in large numbers.
