Iranian Revolutionary Guard Commander and Pilot Killed in Military Plane Crash in Southeastern Iran

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the death of a unit commander and a pilot following the crash of a light military aircraft during the "Security Martyrs" exercise in the border region of Saravan in southeastern Iran. According to a statement from the Quds Base of the Revolutionary Guard's ground forces, the aircraft was conducting combat operations when it crashed, resulting in the deaths of Brigadier General Hamid Mazandarani, commander of the Neynava Brigade in Golestan Province, and pilot Hamid Jandaghi, a ground forces fighter in the Revolutionary Guard.
