The new Senegalese President, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, conducted a friendship and working visit to Mauritania, which is his first outside the country since taking office. During the one-day visit, he held discussions with Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Sheikh Ghazouani on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields.
