Nine supporters of Soumaré, including MPs Kadiata Malick Diallo and Yahya Lo, distanced themselves from the candidate in a written statement, while reaffirming their commitment to the positions expressed during Monday's press conference.

They noted that despite the agreement of the few records in their possession with the results of the Independent National Electoral Commission, these announced results were the product of the manipulation of the people's will and their aspiration for change, through the purchase of consciences, manipulation at the level of the electoral commission and polling stations, as well as threats and the collusion of the administration that lost all neutrality.

اOuguiya Depreciates Against the Dollar

The Central Bank of Mauritania announces the depreciation of the ouguiya to 39.57 against the dollar, its highest level in two months, after reaching its best level in mid-June.

End of the Legal Deadline for Appeals Against Presidential Election Results

The legal deadline for submitting appeals against the Mauritanian presidential election results has ended, with the Constitutional Council having an 8-day period to rule on the submitted appeals.
