The First Lady, Mariem Fadel Dah, conducted an inspection visit to autism centers under the Ministry of Social Affairs, Childhood, and Family in Nouakchott, on the occasion of International Children's Day. The visit included two centers located in the districts of Tevragh-Zeina and Toujounine, where she toured various sections and reviewed the services provided to children with autism spectrum disorders.
She also held meetings with the parents of the children, listening to their concerns and challenges, and encouraged them to collaborate with the administrations to improve services for the children. In a statement, the First Lady commended the efforts of the centers to care for autistic children and children with multiple disabilities.
She was accompanied during the visit by the Minister of Social Affairs, administrative and security authorities of the Nouakchott-West and Nouakchott-North regions, as well as the President of the Regional Council of Nouakchott.
