In this press conference, the president of the Front, Ehel Cheikh Ould Emm, called on the authorities to release the detainees, namely Mr. Sidna Taala Ould Mohamed Khouna, Mr. Mohamed Jibril, and the other detainees. He also stated, contrary to what the Interior Minister said, that the country is experiencing a political crisis due to the recent presidential elections, which he described as a farce. He emphasized their commitment within the Front to maintaining security and continuing to defend their rights within the law. If the law prevents them from expressing their opinion, they will take to the streets to defend their rights.
This Front was established last May by several candidates who were excluded due to not obtaining approval from the mayors. The Front called for a boycott of the presidential elections held on June 29.
