Israeli media reacted to U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s decision not to appoint prominent pro-Israel figures, such as Nikki Haley and Mike Pompeo, to key positions in his new administration. The newspaper "Maariv" described this move as "cutting off significant branches of Israel's supporters." It highlighted that Pompeo, who served as Secretary of State in Trump’s previous administration, played a crucial role in strengthening pro-Israel policies, including the Abraham Accords, recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, support for Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights, and confrontation with Iran.
